The Eleventh Doctor Overnight Ratings

The unofficial overnight ratings for The Eleventh Doctor, the special episode of Doctor Who Confidential which took a look back at the past ten Doctors and introduced us to Matt Smith, the Eleventh Doctor, have today been published online. They confirm that the episode was watched by 6.5 million people and received a 29.6% share of the total television audience.

That amount of viewers is great for Doctor Who Confidential because the show usually gets about around a million views. The special episode of the extra bit of Doctor Who was the second highest rated programme of the day, beating Demons and even the brand new Eurovision - Your Country Needs Youbut was beaten by Richard Hammond's new show, Wipeout, which achieved a total of 6.5 Million viewers.
